Personalised Guidance for High School Students

About RS Education

Our practice was honed through our years of experience at Khartoum International Community School (KICS).  Reem started College Counselling in 2009 and over the next 14 years developed her role to include IB Diploma Coordinator, Head of IB and most recently Head of Counselling with responsibility for implementing a Comprehensive Counselling Curriculum. Samia, closely involved in all aspects of the school’s development, joined the College Counselling department in 2017 and since then they have worked together very successfully, encouraging, guiding and supporting young adults.

Since its first graduating class in 2009, KICS became renowned for its IB Diploma Programme and the strength of its College Counselling service. Students were guided towards many of the top-ranked universities in the world over the next 14 years.

Since March 2025 we have become a UCAS centre (65765), which allows us to manage students’ applications to UK universities, independently of a school. This is particularly useful for students who are not in UCAS Centre schools, are on Gap Years or are being Homeschooled.

The success of College Counselling at KICS was founded on building personal relationships with students and families and offering them the best possible support in navigating the fast-changing world of higher education applications.
